Sorry to bring up this morbid topic but I just have to honor the memory of this little boy who survived a horrible plane crash in Dec. 1960 but died a few days later. The mid air collision occured on a foggy, light snow/rain day.It was a few days after the Dec 11-12 NYC Blizzard. This incident has affected me all my life and I have thought about Steven especially right around this time.
Thanks for letting me express this.

Never heard of this Doc, but just read the account, bizarre and frightening to say the least.
I can't believe so many survived the crash from 5,000 feet only to lose their lives when the plane exploded a couple of minutes after impact.
Of course the weather enthusiast in me couldn't help but notice all of the snow on the ground in Queens and Staten Island in Mid December but of course that's just a side note.

Re: Remembering Stevie Baltz
CP, I found that very sad as well because there would have been many more survivors had the explosion not occured. This was front page news for days as well as on the relatively new evening news shows back then.
That snow was from the Dec 11-12 1960 Blizzard I posted somewhere in this topic. For us snow lovers, the rest of the winter was a dream come true, two more major snowstorms and a subfreezing stretch of 15 or 16 days in Jan-Feb.
