I heard Mattingly say on the radio that "Chase would never intentionally hurt a player, he just plays hard!" Yeah, right Donnie.Glad now you never got a WS ring playing as you are a lying sack of s__t.Your buddy Joe Torre disagrees with your statement.Your player's dirty slide took out our shortstop and could very well cost us any chance at a WS.

Wish I could pitch to Utley and I had a 98 MPH fastball.I'd say "I never intentionally wanted to make Utley look like Tony Conigliaro, I just throw hard and sometimes it does not go where I want it to go!"

I have tickets for tonight and tomorrow night and my record at Citifield is 9-1 this season, and Math has gone to games that Harvey pitched and they have won also... so LGM!

Ditto that Doc - I am not a Mets fan but it is bs. I stick one right in his ear. Good luck to you and your team and I hope they win it!

Great win by the Mets even though Harvey didnt have his best stuff tonight. I had a feeling the Mets were going to come back after being down 3-0. Anderson isn't a good pitcher. Another big game by Granderson. He has been great this postseason. Huge homeruns by Cespedes and Travis. What a nice win. Tomorrow it will be Matz vs Kershaw. Lets wrap it up tomorrow. Lets go Mets =)

Wow, what a game! You should see my scorecard! Fun night at Citifield, lots of Utley chants, great to see Rusty Staub throw out the first pitch after his heart attack on that flight from Ireland. Ruben was there with a boot on, and also saw John Franco. Now onto finishing it up tomorrow night!

Good luck Dunz does it again!!!!

Yep, best revenge is to win the series and send mealy mouth Mattingly and hard ass Utley packing for LA.The Mets handled the incident with class.Maybe that sc_mbag Utley did more good than harm by firing up the team.Hope it carries through for tonight.

Kershaw vs Matz tonight. Time to end it tonight. I would put in Degrom or even Syndergaard in relief of Matz to end this series tonight. This series should have been over already. Lets go Mets.

Keep it classy LA

Well diddily squat actually.  Come to think about it, in the previous seven postseason appearances by the Mets, only in one of them did they not win a playoff series, and that was in 1988 when they lost to the Dodgers in a series that went the distance.  Now this series against the Dodgers is going the distance with deGrom vs Greinke Thursday night.

If the Mets don't win Game 5, I will be pulling hard for the Cubs to knock out the Dodgers and maybe they can end their long championship drought, although Back to the Future Part II had the Cubs winning the World Series in 2015.

Can the Mets offense please come alive tomorrow. Granderson is the only one that is consistently hitting. Wright and Duda are really struggling. I really want the Mets to crush Greinke tomorrow. Please win because after this, I don't watch any sports on tv until spring training.

Degrom against Grienke slight advantage Mets. And that's from someone with no skin in the game.

Of course it's baseball, anything can happen.

Baseball Corollary-------"Good pitching trumps good hitting."

I saw Kershaw just before the game getting pumped up in their dugout while Matz looked like a deer in the headlights.Personally, I would have started Colon not a kid who had not pitched in three weeks in a pressure cooker must win game.He could have had matz warming up at all times.

Anyway, whoever pitched had to be perfect to beat a 19 game Cy Young winner.

CP, when I bet college football games, you always advantage the home team.Asking for two wins against a great hitting club....well, can't say.Anyway, I wouldn't be surprised to see them put Utley in to rattle the Mets.Going to be a great pitchers duel anyhoo.

Amazing stata as usual Math.Sorry you and Dunz could not come across with another win.It ws a very tough assignment against Kershaw. He was fantastic.

That is amazing that back to the future 2015 prediction,LOL.I'm with you, if the Mets crap out, Cubbies all the way. 108 year drought fer cryin' out loud!!!! Madden is a fantastic manager!

As a lifelong Yankees fan it pains me to say this but congratulations to the Mets and their fans for advancing to the NLCS. Looking ahead Mets vs Cubs is a very intriguing matchup. You have the young power arms on the Mets against the young power bats of the Cubs. Both teams have karma on their sides. I firmly believe the winner of this series will win it all.

What a great win. Degrom was battling all night. He is truly the ace of this team. Murphy with a huge night. Great relief appearance from Thor. He was excellent in the 7th inning. Big 6 out save from Familia. A lot of people said that the Mets were not going to beat Grienke. Well, look =). Tomorrow morning, I am going to buy my NLDS shirt =) LETS GO METS

Thanks Nutley.Your Yankees are almost there, good young hitters in place.Get another great starter and another young hitter or two and you are World Series bound. They had a great year IMO with what they had to work with. They got hot too early but were killing it when they were.

Good assessment of the Mets-Cubs.Classic pitcher-hitter duel.
