The 5 boro bike tour is tomorrow. The weather looks terrible. Is there any hope for some dry periods or is it a steady all day rain.
The forecast looks about as bad as it can get for early May.

I think the rain may be the worse between 9am-1pm and then turn to Just cloudy with another piece of energy coming in early Monday

Rain will probably start between 9:30-11:00am. The heaviest looks to be in the early afternoon of 2-4pm. A real crappy day.

Hey mugs - where you get the info? April certainly felt below normal to me. It looks like CNJ to NYC was around normal, but you can see much of the northeast finished below normal.

Frank - pulled those stats off the Weathercock (Accuweather) site for Central Park
If you magnify your map 100x you'll see a yellow spot just on the island of Manhattan = Central ParK!

By a slim margin yet another above normal month goes in the books for Central Park. Enough days in the upper 70s - low 80s to offset the cold times. Above normals lows goes unnoticed but can  go a long way in pushing avgs up too.
JFK got slightly below norm, typical robbery of the warmest days on the south shore.

Central Park  53.3*   +0.3*
LaGuardia.    53.2*   +0.2*
JFK.                51*      -0.3*
Newark.         53.1*    +0.3*
