79* hit 85.
Many parades have cancel announcements tonight for tomorrow so looks like the rain will ruin most of the day

Re: May Observations and Discussion
Models tonight backed off on the 2+ inch rain amounts. It's looking like between 1 to 1 and a half with rain tampering off between 2-3pm, maybe even sooner. There will be some lingering clouds though. It won't be a total washout. I guess that's the bright news.

Re: May Observations and Discussion
Within the past two hours alone, CPK has picked up 1.13" of rain.
Though looking at the latest HRRR runs, the rain will likely be over and done with by around noon-time, if not sooner...

Don't think so. Maybe it gets as far north as Manasquan NJ, but I doubt it. Between 1 to 2 inches of rain fell overnight for most people. The timing was way off on the models. It looks like we'll be able to salvage this day! Still be on the lookout for pop up showers through 2pm today though.

Look like the rain is done except for eastern LI, CT.
Unless something redevelops.
Turns out this was a sun night event not a memorial day event?
most ppl will of slept through it.

So sticky, we could really get some good storms later with that cold front. Hey mugs, you were in the black hole again, only .61"? I got 1.16" and Montvale got 1.3". Maybe you will catch up later!

Weekend was great but today 70* and been raining all day at the South Jersey shore. Overall though I'll take the sunny and warm Fri-Sun weather in exchange for one rainy Monday.

Re: May Observations and Discussion
Poor Wildwood and Cape May have been under heavy rain bands all day. Probably near 2 inches of rain has fallen by now. A strong line of storms is developing to our NW. Short range models show this line drifting southeast through the evening. They'll probably lose some of their punch, but since it's such an unstable atmosphere I gather they'll still be on the strong side when they get here.

Re: May Observations and Discussion
May might finish slightly above normal. Remarkable turnaround after running well below normal deep into the month. Above normal streak would continue since June 2015, the last below normal month by a very slim margin.
It'll be very close.
