snowing steadily for the last half hour. car tops covered. what a difference from last year when we had to wait until jan. for first flakes.

Steady light snow here. Most of the snowfall from overnight hasn't melted much so far today.
Interesting thing this morning, went from a solid inch or so of snow IMBY to absolutely nothing just down the road. I'm assuming due to the lower elevation.

Some areas well north of us, such as Norfolk, CT and Binghamton, received 12"+ of snow. Well deserved for them I'd say considering how boring their winters have been over the past few years; especially last winter.

The lake effect snow storm is still going good with reports of 50 inches of snow wow can u imagine if we got that I can't wait till we start talking about Godzilla's and rodzilla

Alex a lot of tropical moisture was fed into the upper level low from the somewhat tropical system in the Atlantic. It was enough to bring some light accumulations even down to the coast.
