Congratulations - Wx Statistician Guru's
I want to recognize these four members for not just their wisdom, but for their ability to collect statistics and put us in a trance every time they reminisce on historical storm events. History has a tendency to repeat itself, and we'll never truly know what that's like without the knowledge these members bring to the NJ Strong community. I characterize these members as Wx Statistician Guru's.
CPcantmeasuresnow- Leader of Off Topic Island, CP is a leading advocate in making sure Central Park snowfall totals are recorded accurately after storm events. There never seems to pass more than a few days without CP dropping a crazy statistic on the board for all of us to marvel over. Most memorable to me is his statistic regarding December snowfall's and how a poor December could lead to a less than thrilling winter.
docstox12- Another Leader of Off Topic Island. Having met Doc, I can tell you he is one of the most genuine people I know. His stories of past weather events he experienced growing up, having lived in NJ and NY, are so vivid and detailed you would think you were there. Him and CP are known as the "Northwest" guys because they live the furthest NW from NYC. In a way, I think their bond is as strong as it is because of their close proximity to one another.
Math23x7 - Gee...where to start. Haha. Mikey is another member I've met at every single NJ Strong get together. He is a loyalist and extremely gifted. When I first met Michael, I will never forget when he told me he can tell me the exact day of the week I was born because, somehow, he knows the days of the week of each month in any given year. He has incredible memory and he shows it on the forum time and time again. He also provides great stats and is proving himself to grow as a weather forecaster too. A man good with numbers whose passion for weather is second to none.
Dtone- Don't let this member fool ya. He may be on the quiet side, but I admire his ability to let us know when temperature or precipitation records are broken. It's clear to me he has a deep understanding of statistics and knowledge of past weather events. I can see the passion and am glad he is an active members of the community.
Congratulations to all of you. There will be at least 1 more group tag created in the near future. And it's expected to be a lengthy one...

Frank, I want to thank you so much for this honor and recognition.I have had many, many, many happy hours on your magnificent board reminiscing, learning, and laughing with the other great people.Probably one of the few reasons of it being good getting old is the ability to share with others winter weather and snowstorm stories since 1960.I have also enjoyed the couple of meet ups meeting you and the other great folks. We are truly blessed with this wonderful board, a true community of meteorology enthusiasts, who share knowledge and enjoy everything weather related. Its all because of you Frank, and the great moderators who keep this a civil and happy place.

Thank you for the recognition Frank. I do want to say though that I did not attend the meetup last November because I have to opportunity to go to State College to visit an old college friend on what was forecasted to be a beautiful weekend for hiking, and of course for a Penn State football game. How do I say no to that?? I would have loved to come to that one, hopefully I'll be able to come to the next one.

What a great way to celebrate the contributing members of your forum Frank. I rarely post but this forum is the only place I acknowledge for accurate weather. And I do follow along religiously. And growing up in NYC and LI and being of age it is fun to relive storm stories. You have a wide range of members and you are always incitefull and respectful. Thank you for a magnificent forum. Peace.

Thank you Frank I am humbled by this honor. Half the things I say in here are tongue in cheek but this isn't. Posting and being a part of this board and knowing you and several others since the accuweather chat days has been a great experience.
Just one correction though, I personally consider Doc the head of OTI, even though myself, Doc, Mugs and Snowman originally concieved the lamb brained idea. Doc keeps the place going year round, while I usually fade from the Island paradise during the Hellacious period we refer to as late spring and summer.
Thanks again
