Yeah RGEN does leave out most from NYC and NW, I hope it can back NW a bit, that band is very narrow, maybe it can expand. So far rgem is the strongest.

Don't like the looks of that, great for Skins but the move south and east is a little alarming if not drastic. Hope that's not a trend.
Me either, CP, but if it comes to fruition we still get 6 inches.I have been suspicious of all the maps showing the HV getting a foot because this S and E bias has been seen so many times the last few years. When i see the radar on Thursday morning, we will know.
If we get 6 reserve my room, this will be one depressed camper. Every model showed 10-16 until that F'n RGEM.

Re: Possible Snowstorm Thursday, February 9th
Chills yall. Jesus Mary and St Joseph a 970 mb storm just on or east of the BM as the rgem shows will crush just about all on the forum except for far NY Albany area peeps. The rest get absolutely hammered and the ccb will roAR in off the ocean inland as it snow shield expands. The jet structure shows tjis on the NAM suites.
RGEM as well just gorgeous
Jake and Skins may have more tHan just snow to worry about, tidal flooding can be an issue as well.

Re: Possible Snowstorm Thursday, February 9th
cp and doc last yrs blizzard I got 20". cpk less than 10 miles south and places 10 miles north were 27+". there are going to be areas that underperform so if you end up with 10" and skins and scott with 18" what can we do. it happens. I do not think you end up less than 8" att.

From 18z NAM, with ratios, jackpot hudson vally into NYC 12-15!! RGEM at this time is a outlier with its intensity, but is impressive.

Dunno, I would guess they will be up if models continue to show snow there, earlier they were not. Maybe not enough confidence yet.track17 wrote:How is the jersey shore not under a wsw based on these runs ?

Re: Possible Snowstorm Thursday, February 9th
I mean rgem and its intensity of 970mb and the intense band through LI, most other models look pretty similar to each other except this one, maybe im wrong.skinsfan1177 wrote:jmanley32 wrote:From 18z NAM, with ratios, jackpot hudson vally into NYC 12-15!! You know TT snow map is easier to read the color code than wxbell, the pinks all look so similar its hard to tell the diff.algae888 wrote:here you gocp and doc 12z para gfs...

winds are going to play a factor at least at the coast and mention blizzard conditions at the coast for now.
