Spot on map!!!!!! The only very slight criticism was to extend that purple a little more N and W.

Looks like the accumulating snow has finally come to an end. Light snow and 21 degrees.

14 inch total. Franks 12-18 verified on the nose for this part of the HV. I also have to give Kudos to KING NAM which consistently had us in 12-15 every run from the beginning. It nailed it

What hurt me here was how long it took to change over pouring rain for hours.

I would like to thank you all for all that you do. When this is all said and done I'll probably have 14 maybe more. This was such a great storm for dynamics and timing. I love a day time snow storm that you get to watch all day long. Especially with these snow rates we got.

Agree Skins, the rain was very hard early on, probably would have been our most intense snow rate if it changed over. Thank you to everyone for all you do, I love this forum and appreciate all the dedication you all have to your craft!

Knowing what the Queens Village measurement was, I went out to measure the snow about an hour ago. Knowing not to measure near walls or on the grass, I measured in locations that were open on hard surfaces. I could not find a measurement of 10." Perhaps, the one who took the QV measurement overmeasured. Ultimately, I went right near where St. Gregory the Great school is (James, you probably now where it is). Analyzing the measurements, I came up with 9.2". When you take out the QV amount, it actually makes sense to me. Of course, you will almost always get more snow than I do, perhaps by several inches.

Ray and Frank great job.
Back end bands showed mod to heavy snow but dry air unsecured it so by 1ish we were done .
IF we had that banding would have crossed the foot barrier. About 10" from the eye.
I'll take it and run
24" on the season!

1. Don't go bullish with snowfall amounts when the day before temps were in the 60's

2. Don't go bullish with snowfall amounts when the flow is progressive and H5 is not forecasted to close off

3. Always go bullish with snowfall amounts over Long Island because they're the new snow capital of the U.S.

We talk about compaction sometimes, another point is that when the ground is above freezing and the snowfall comes down at rates we saw, the snow acts as an insulator and the accumulation melts from the ground up eating away at the totals we measure, easily had an inch or two of slush under the 10 inches here, or totals would have been higher- great job as usual all, great storm!

Jman I do love you but, people must be accountable for what they say even in times of duress. As many of us approach or exceed a foot of snow I believe this post from this morning deserves some form of suspension.  Possibly no mentions of wind of any kind for two weeks? I will leave that to the Administrators.

I love  Jman too, but he has to answer for this and we  have the appropriate punishment in the basement of the OTI Sanitarium

God okay i was wrong (Got about 11 inches, maybe 12, its soo windy (opps) hardto tell but thats no punishment that looks fun!! LOL
