Great job Ray, only comment is the burgundy in NENJ would be blue, we didn't get to 10", only 9

Jman I do love you but, people must be accountable for what they say even in times of duress. As many of us approach or exceed a foot of snow I believe this post from this morning deserves some form of suspension. Possibly no mentions of wind of any kind for two weeks? I will leave that to the Administrators.
I love Jman too, but he has to answer for this and we have the appropriate punishment in the basement of the OTI Sanitarium

OK, Jman, I had a feeling you would get a kick out of this.Glad we all got a good snowstorm today!!!

In fact here in yonkers at ridge hill they have a skydiving wind tunnel that you can do flips and all types of stuff only 8 feet off the floor, safest skydiving lol.docstox12 wrote:jmanley32 wrote:God okay i was wrong (Got about 11 inches, maybe 12, its soo windy (opps) hardto tell but thats no punishment that looks fun!! I got about 8 inches close to 9 in Bergen County. It was supposed to be 12-18. So some of us cashed out and some of us lost out a little.

Re: February 9, 2017 Godzilla: Final Call & Observations
Went out to clean up at 2 pm. I do 5 houses (old neighbors, retired marine that walks my dog etc:) Thought it was over. Started at the retired marine's house and just had to hit it again before I just came in at 4:35 and clear off another 2.5" of pure powder. WTF happened. it was puking while I was shoveling. Anyway tons of compaction except for the top few inches. But i measured accurately 13.5" before I shoveled. Add to that the 2.5" I got after and I'm going to call it at 16" (pictures to follow as proof) Brings my seasonal total to 36". Frank and Ray nailed it. (at least IMBY) Great Storm!!!

Re: February 9, 2017 Godzilla: Final Call & Observations
Indeed was a fun storm to follow and learn from. Witnessed the dynamic and synoptic setup along with the mesoscale processes at play. It's awesome to be a student in the field of atmospheric science and observe what you learn and put much time into the school work, then watch it unfold. Anyway, finished with around 9" or so, but it compacted as it's a heavy water content based snow. Next two weeks holds big potential.... Great job Ray, Frank, and others contributing with observations and whatever else!
