POS this winter. Has about 6-7 inches for me when EVERY other model has me somewhere between 12-24. If that verifies I will eat my hat and post it.

If that verifies, everybody will have jumped off a bridge and nobody will be around to see it.

He's probably in his lab like a mad scientist writing his blog and drawing his snowfall maps that are going to be posted at 8:00pm.

It's pretty apparent it's not going to be right and I think it will correct by 12Z tomorrow but I'm really starting to hate this model.

Its funny whichever model for each storm performs the worst we decide to hate it, till its right the next one. : )hyde345 wrote:jmanley32 wrote:relax guys I am near positive the GFS just is not doing right this time. I can't remember when it performed well with a southern stream system. Waste of money spent on so called upgrade.

Yes this is 1000% correct it's bias to tick east by 25 miles ir thereabout.Armando Salvadore wrote:Take that RGEM and tick it east, last minute jog east and having experience as well as research. So many variables and entities going into this storm, its unbelievable. Check out the WV, you can discern the pieces that will set up the storm with a poleward ridge on the west coast!
Mud levels should be fine.
Let's not freak out here about this.

Re: March 14th Godzilla Discussion Part 2
Honestly at this point I wouldn't even mind seeing a 20-30 mile eastern jog. I want everyone to cash in big on this one.
It looks like no matter what NW NJ is in for a solid foot and maybe more so I can't be greedy. Weather Channel called for 18-24, News12 and ABC 7 saying pretty much the same. I can't believe I'm even writing this given the winter seemed like a lost cause this time a month ago. Heck I would take a 6 inch storm any day this late in the Season so I really think we should all take a second to appreciate the pure awesomeness that awaits as this unfolds.
Wonder where Cantore is gonna pop up? NYC or Bahstan?

Re: March 14th Godzilla Discussion Part 2
Question: Why are the models and the forecasts approx. 5 degrees different for my area? The NAM, the GFS, the RGEM.. all are calling for temps in the upper teens to low 20 while the forecasts are calling for mid to upper 20s? I know I'm being greedy, but I wouldn't mind temps that bring 20:1 ratios rather than 12 or 15.

Hope continue to grow with each passing hour so either folks are going to be thrilled or people will be lining up to jump off a bridge.

Re: March 14th Godzilla Discussion Part 2
I am sorry but no need to panic, this is one of a monster storm and I believe everyone will get a good share out of it so no worries. Obviously not everyone in the jackpot region but as long as one gets fair amount of share should be happy.

Freakin snow alert for NYC, there needs b a lot more than that, but until there is some type of warning for NYC I do not think anyone will do anything. My wife said the grocery store took 3 hrs today though, imagine tomorrow!!
