...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT
WEDNESDAY...

* LOCATIONS...Bradford, Susquehanna, and Wyoming counties in
Northeast Pennsylvania as well as much of central New York.

* HAZARD TYPES...Heavy snow. Blowing and drifting snow.

* ACCUMULATIONS...Total snow accumulation of 18 to 26 inches, with
locally higher amounts.

* TIMING...Snow heavy at times through the afternoon. Snow
becomes lighter this evening, but continues through the night
with additional accumulation. Gusty winds develop with
considerable blowing and drifting snow by tonight.

* IMPACTS...The heavy snow will make travel very dangerous.
Roads will remain snow covered and slippery. Strong winds will
lead to considerable blowing snow and drifting snow. Expect
white out conditions in open areas. Scattered power outages
also will be possible. Bitter wind chills may produce
frostbite with prolonged exposure to the cold.

* WINDS...Northwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.

* TEMPERATURES...Teens to lower 20s

Man, you got that right. For us older guys, take your time. It's miserable out and trying to shovel this slop is akin to weightlifting. It's a real widowmaker.No  

ha ha don't I know it..husband out of commission for shoveling this season..I went out ahead of my son...slipped and slid under the car...lol....had to yell for him to hurry and get me..it is very heavy and slippery snow..but thank goodness it stopped for most of the time we were out there

we just got in the winds are whipping..it stopped for the time we were outside measured about 6 inches..I had 4.25 of snow this morning..the rest came from sleet...NOW IT IS POURING SLEET AGAIN!! I am not going back out there...

Ok then I guess there is a silver lining to us only getting 4 inches here with 2 inches washed away!

Ended up with 7.5 inches. Nearly broke my back shoveling which seemed like bags of sugar from all that sleet. What an epic bust! Mad

2004black its windy i stepped into snow that's how i can tell its got to be close to 2 feet in my area and your not far it is deep!

18.5 inches and it started coming down heavy again in the last twenty minutes.

yes totally miserable...I am still cold after a hot shower...and I see the plow just came by and blocked my driveway..how much did you get in your area? are you NJ or NY

2PM report Central Park 7.2 inches. Sounds like they got it right for once.
