Sorry Longislanders, there will be no snow this winter because I just moved my snowblower from the shed to the garage, and did the basic pre winter tuneup

I had a dream last night which was interesting to say the least. This one took place in the warmer months and it had me meeting up with Ryan (Quietace) in the city in several locations discussing the state of our careers and his upcoming plans. Perhaps it's withdrawal over the lack of meetups as of late. I haven't seen anyone outside of Janet the past couple of years. Sad

Not liking the looks of Saturday for anything more than a glancing blow right now. Looking ahead, looks like the GFS is trying to bring a clipper into the area next Wednesday and blow it up right off the coast. Unfortunately that runs against my long-standing rule of thumb that Clippers almost always underwhelm and almost never blow up along the coast quickly enough to give us significant snow. So I'll remain skeptical on that one.

I am skeptical of all models anymore than 48hrs out, and even then, not too keen on them either...

Yes, but both GFS and Euro have a signficant low just east of long Island at hour 192 so it gives me some hope.

Been a bad month I've lost yet another job and at the worst possible time. Same thing last year my poor child can't be spoiled like I want to. Worst is I'm not eligible for unemployment so everything is just crashing. Only been a week but it's go get real bad soon. Social work jobs that aren't impossible schedules are hard to find and I'm estimating 2 to 3 months at least. So sorry if I have no holiday spirit or come off crass. It's nothing against you guys. Plus this usual weather that doesn't happen doesn't help.

Sorry to hear that John. Have you thought about looking into retail stores or loading docks for work. I know around the holidays there are temporary positions that open up. Something, anything to keep some sort of revenue coming in while you look for something more permanent.

I hear you on the costs of daycare. The savings for not having it vs the costs of daycare vs the salary earned. Daycare is expensive

I really like the Apothics, and this may very well replace Dark as being my favorite of their wines... Sadly its a limited time thing, and i only have 3 bottles left if I cant find more... No
