Not so sure about the winds (when do models ever get winds right?) but we're getting well over 2 inches of rain. Probably over 4 in most spots along the immediate coast and LI. Be on alert for flash flooding.

Pressure down to 998 mb. Been raining steadily much of the day. It will be interesting as to how strong the winds will get.

Nice negative tilt at 500mb. Hopefully we get this look at 500mb D-F. Unless that trough tilts further steering looks to take it just west of NYC

I have 6 advisories and warnings, had 2 TV broadcast interruptions for flooding, now till 9pm. Will probably be longer than that, lets see how this goes.

Of course. But it is the lowest tilt setting so it’s not that far aloft. But your right it is pretty far away from the radar center. It should be interesting in some of these bands though.

I’m starting to get VERY SKEPTICAL about the winds. We are in some crazy heavy bands and over an hour into the HWW and I’ve seen nothing over 20 mph yet. Wind bust?

Yes James the reds are over me right now very heavy rain very light winds. I'll say this again just my experience but Westerly winds verify much more than Easterly. Dry slot about 100 miles to our South once that passes that I think the winds get cranking with the very moist soil could be trees down and power outages how widespread will know by morningsyosnow94 wrote:I’m starting to get VERY SKEPTICAL about the winds.
