5" in Great Neck that's not bad at all in NW Nassau. In a straight line thats less than 10 miles, yet basically nothing this side.

If people wait to measure the snow will compact quick. I bet when I get home in a couple of hours my 8”will be closer to 5.5or 6”

We had a break in the precip, then one pretty heavy final band moved through- gave us another .5" on colder surfaces

I got 8”. Town 2 miles west has a trained spotter report of 6”. Town 2 miles s and e has a trained spotter report if 11”. Something’s amis
