00z hrdps fwiw is still a crushing ice storm. All frz. 3km nam also has places getting 0.5 to 1.25 not saying it will happen but all the sr are back off on any snow and show just frz and a lot sleet for inland.

Sleet and rain down to 34. If we are go see those frz amounts or even half its go have get colder. Right NIW it's just wet out. Not saying we want the frz just saying to verify ATM won't come even close. Sr has heavy accumulations of ice just 10 miles 15 miles outside city.

Started as sleet at about 10 pm, then started mixing with rain at 32°, now temp at 31.8° and falling, snow mixing in.

I'm guessing about 1/4" has accreted. Would have been devastating if it'd been a few degrees colder. Temps hovered around 31.5.

I didn't see one flake Jon Big Bust by the models even in Southern and central New England it was a big bust there too

The surface did not cool nearly as much as some models forecasted. Surface temps remained above freezing for the coast. NNJ even not nearly as cold as predicted. So while ice accretion happened in bushes and power lines the roadways probably not so much.

Roads absolutely fine just colder surfaces is where ice accretion occurred. What else the models failed to see was warm air above 5000 feet. These WAA things are really tough to forecast snow for as the column can warm enough at any level to kill the snow. I'd be surprised if anybody saw much more than a coating.

HRRR last night had a healthy 3-4" last night from 78 on north as did several other models. 3K NAM was able to see the light after 12Z yesterday.

Chester NY Schools closed, no snow at all, a little sleet fell and a coating of ice.Roads seem fine but not too many people are out.I'm very glad the big ice predicted busted.Radar already looks like this thing is busting up south and west of me.Good riddance.My hope now is for clouds to break and temps to bump above freezing to melt this ice off my walks and driveway.

I have the same as Doc. Nothing fell but a little sleet, just enough to ice-glaze everything. It will be a high of 32. Maybe that glaze stays around for a while.

Temp stayed at about 31.6° all night. started as sleet at 10pm, then mixed with freezing rain. I did see a few flakes mixing in about midnight, but really just a freezing rain/sleet event. .23" of rain in the rain gage.

This without a doubt is one of my least favorite types of weather: Rain at 33*. Perfectly cold enough to snow, but just a long cold drenching rain. Didn’t really see any icing here - for that I am thankful. I will grudgingly take rain over freezing rain.

Still have freezing rain/rain passing thru. Some of this precip extends deep into PA. Might be on and off all day

Yeah we god a decent icing I have pics but can't upload on phone. It's all melting now roads are and have been fine. Yonkers did not even have a delay. I'd say may be .10 ice accretion on everything but ground.

Looks like the pattern is favoring you up there this month.I remember years like this in the early to mid 60's when Albany always had much more snow than NYC.Glad you are all snow.I have an ice mess here in the LHV.Got my plow guy coming to salt the driveway as temps look to be below freezing a few days.

Snowing lightly at 27. Eyeballing about 2 inches here in Saugerties. Math in Albany about an hour away looks to be in the jackpot for the snow for this one.
