Mugsy, don't the hospitals get paid more if it is a Covid19 death? Thought I read that somewhere. If so, it would behoove them to do that fort more money.

It is absolutely true that hospitals did get and still get funds for every COVID death. Now proving falsified claims is the hard part; esp in the climate we live in today where the media censors anything that implicates the radical left in anything. The info on Hunter Biden being censored through social media is the perfect example.

Well Jim is really good at long range forecast and he put out his four month outlook and I wish i didn't watch it last night it was just bad well above normal temps in Nov,Dec and January are only chance would be Feb with near normal! The snow part not so good as well with Feb our best shot!! Hate to bring the bad news but I have been hearing this chatter of a 3 peat and Jim is a very good at his long range outlook will see!!!
I like Joe and Joe. Have met Joe Cioffi a few times. He is always conservative without the hype. I've met Jim a few times too. Very interesting how he forecasts long long range. If you like Joe & Joe, become a Patreon member for Joe Cioffi. It's like $2/month and he started doing zoom meetings with those members. It's usually on Monday nights.

Oh yes they do and tens of thousands of dollars - i know that NJ gets 12K for a diagnoses, 39K for an intubation and ??K for a death.

The state by state covid funding data is 6 months old: State-by-state breakdown of federal aid per COVID-19 case
Ayla Ellison (Twitter) - Tuesday, April 14th, 2020
There are now many ways hospitals can get funding for their covid related costs--check out this site:
https://www.gnyha.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/COVID_Funding_Sources_9152020.pdf
Lots of data for hospitals to collect, forms to fill out. I suspect that at this point it is hard to tell how much money has flowed to each state, for whatever reasons--I didn't see any recent data, many different possible federal sources.
Full employment for the folks in the hospital finance departments, probably lots of $$$ coming to the hospitals...would love to see the current numbers...

I’m curious what teachers or parents with kids in school have heard about snow days for the upcoming winter. My school hasn’t said anything yet, but considering teachers are now pretty much expected to teach from home if they are sick, I expect the snow day is going to be a remnant of the past.

Honestly, kids haven't had much snow days the past two winters anyways. And with all the negativity about this winter, we might be headed into a 3peat.
