41* with off and on light rain here. Miserable weather. Looks like northeast PA parts of NY did pick up some snow this morning. Hopefully we get a break of sun later this afternoon for the baseball games.

It’s funny every time we go into new season we always end up with a wrong weather pattern I bet this spring we will go from chilly to hot

I knew it was going to get cold today, but I was not expecting snow flakes.

Almost noon and still 34*. Very cold day even for early April. Have seen some random snow showers popping up on the radar. Warmer air should start to re-assert itself tomorrow and Sunday.

We saw a record chilly start to the day for a couple of our climate sites this morning:

Yep I took a break and still am, loving this weather after that cold spell we had. I will be in full mode for another active albeit not as bad as last year hurricane season starting in may now per NWS I guess they are changing start date.  Says watch out FL this year.  East coast is another hot spot again and gulf is 3rd. If no one beats me to it I will put up a tropical thread on May.

Greenland block reforming as I reported in here last week. Look for cool, wet conditions from this for the remainder of this month possibly. Will be some warm days yes but night lows are in the low to mid 40's to upper 30's outside the heat islands.

Hey everyone! Just passing by to say hello. I have not looked at models in a long time, but had the chance to do so this morning and - wow! - looks like we're going to be dealing with significant high latitude blocking for practically the entire month. The GEFS advertise -EPO/+PNA/-NAO which would mean troughs and cut-off storms hovering over our area. Definitely not the spring I was hoping for! Not seeing a whole lot of the sun over the next 2 weeks. Maybe 2-3 days during the 7 day week will feature mostly sunny days, while the remaining days will be overcast with chance of rain.

Maybe by the time we get to end of April or early May this crummy pattern breaks!

GFS advertising in LR some brutal cold for mid Spring the end of this month, last week from the 22nd through the 27th

I do have the wood stove on. The moisture is there for Fri and Sat and the low temps are “almost” there. Hey CP and Doc, if it snows...does it go into this winter or next?

Damian, definitely this winter, but I think it will be just some mood flakes.Lawn is all greened up and this rain is good for it.
