Hit 100 today, been checking temperatures the last 3 days and hottest is always between 3 and 4:30. Don’t know how people could ever retire and move to Florida, 3 months of summer is all I can take! Can’t wait for Winter! Good Luck !

So, I have a question. if the area receives showers and T-storms, wouldn't that mitigate the predicted awful high/low temps?

Yes, it’s been very hot, but the early mornings have been spectacular. I’ve been going out walking between 5:30-6:30 am the past three morning and it’s been absolutely delightful (high 60°F’s-low 70°F’s) with a nice breeze. The key for me in getting through this weather is to stay out of the sun entirely. In the early morning, the sun is just coming up so there is a lot of shade everywhere.

To an extent, yes. That’s why I think that yesterday would actually turn out to be the hottest day of this stretch, because I think today and tomorrow will feature more convective contamination (i.e showers, thunderstorms, and cloud cover). We will see how it goes.

Freaking hot

94* just got home and out of Boston as the parade was starting..but what a hot mess ..got on the train in our seats and the Acela on the track next to us broke down
.they put their 200+ people full train(that's why we went regular)on
Our train..it was like a NY subway car with people standing

some people stood from Boston to NY with people getting up to let some people sit for a bit..Best part was the conductor gets on and says " it you got a seat you are lucky if not hold on..we are trying to get you safely to your destination!"

LOL, Acela broke down, your tax dollars at work!What a nightmare some people standing all that distance.Glad you made it home Mom, you must have been happy to open that door after that,LOL.

Pouring rain thunder and lightning at 12:57, most of it was north of here, went from 93 degrees to 83 degrees in 10 minutes,

A number of cells in a row. One earlier that cancelled the heat advisory. From 98 to 82 degrees.

The last hour got 3 cells in a row. Now down to 73. More on the way all occurring along the I-78 Rt 22 corridor.
