When I hover over it still says 110mph...thats the 1pm updaTE AT LEAST

Down to 942mb by my eye. I think it can get sub-940mb before landfall. That would be an approximate 30mb drop since this morning alone. Impressive.

940mb basis latest recon with a >137kt wind report. GULP.

Been busy all day wow, this is horrible. I saw a article about a Ryan in Tallahassee tracking the storm, is that our Ryan? 20 ft of surge will innundate miles inland, and the rain is going to pummel all the way to atlanta with as much as 1 ft rain possible, and my got what a huge windfield. literally 100% of FL at one pt was covered in TS force winds.

Of course Cantore is right in the crosshairs and what did Helene do, nudged so she will be making landfall in or near Tallahassee, in stead of east of there, I blame him. Major power outages along western coast especially in tampa area, which is crazy as it is so far away.

they just interviewed some woman who said she and her husband decided to stay in their home with their small children because they were fine in previous storms and they have had their roof hatched.and have life vests ready for their kids....wth is wrong with them??? Cantore just announce there was the first fatality a sign fell on a car killing the occupant. So sad, likely will be many many more, hoping not but this is a beast. And like mom pointed out above alot of Floridians are mindnumb to this and die as a result.

I don't think we are supposed to get rain from Helene.

Looks like the outer bands are going to impact us and tomorrow is going to be showers and a dreary day. Sucks talk about last minute forecast change, I had outdoor plans.
