Beautiful day today, going to love this week with temps in the 70's and 50's at night. Turned the AC off last night, time to save a few bucks!

Dipped to 46* (!!) here this morning. Feels wonderful, but way below normal for this time of year. Average Low here for this date is 57*. Kept the windows open to get the fresh air, but definitely got a little chilly.

CP usually comes out of his summer hibernation with the first clown map of 20 inches over the LHV.

For whatever reason the weather station closest to me hasn’t been reporting, so I’ve had to average my obs between the next two closest stations lol 42° both yesterday and today for morning lows, and highs only in the mid-60s. I am SO diggin’ this haha it’s so much nicer processing firewood now

64 now and the sun set 30 mins ago. 64 at dusk and 64 with sun during the day. No comparison. No long range thread BUT it looks like a bit of a warm up late next week. One is so liable

This is definitely workable for the Winter on the whole, reasons to be discussed. I really want to see how the North Pacific evolves over the next two months, but I have my suspicions. My idea of a relaxation from November through early February may not be so relaxed…….

Following up on this, we may be setting up for the coldest mid-October through at least mid-November in quite a while. I want to dig more deeply on this idea, but this blocking is ABSURDLY strong and ABSURDLY consistent. To say it’s doing a number on the Stratospheric PV is an understatement. We may very well get accumulating snows in parts of our area long before Thanksgiving. Making me think about November of 2014 with respect to scale. And this is in addition to other factors as well.
