Re: 1/29 - 1/30, 2014 Possible Snowstorm
LI esp Suffolk County needs to pay attention to this tonight for possible advisory level snowfall. Trends, as has been the case for most of the winter, have been NW in the last 24hrs before events. It appears this one is no different. Just keep in mind a shift in the current guidance south 30-40miles and nothing more than snow showers for all. A shift to the North by the same amount and as much as 4-6 inches are "possible" in SE portions of Suffolk County.

Heh, keep having to close and re-open those threads Frank wx can't make up its mind. Maybe we should keep them open until the date has passed just suggestion since the models have been so off the wall. I hope it trends way west. LOL

We will have to see how heavy the preicp is when it comes into the area. The NAM suggests a heavy burst lighting to a steady moderate snow for a few hours.
WWA up for Ocean County south and LI with a WSW for Cape May.

Mets i haven't had an accurate snow measurement out here this season mostly because of the winds but I'll have to go on your coattails and say we're about 33" also. NWS says 2-4" locally 5" over the forks tonight.
