3" is all I could measure. 2 hours ago I would have thought we were going to be 6 plus, it is hard to measure with the drifting. definitely slick on the roads though.

In East Hampton LI, I measured 7.4". Some light flurries at present. Beautiful tranquil storm. Feel bad that the heavier bands did not occur too much further west of here. (If my other posting came through w/ same info, I apologize for resending but wasn't sure it was published).

3.3 inches, was surprised we got that much and that I got higher than some spots in LI.

Doesn't seem right but most spots in southern Orange county were 3-4 inches.

It really seems the kicker and the low were duking it out for a while on the western side, precip blossomed as the storm bombed but it's getting dried out again, very strange storm and setup.

This must be why we received 3-4 inches in this area.

I thought it odd we were in heavy snow that far from the main pecip shield and low center.

I'll see if there's an official report tomorrow. I probably got 2 inches or so. Temps played a larger role than anticipated with this storm. Sun angle is beginning to have an effect on our weather going forward. Timing of snow events to come overnight instead of during the days now plays somewhat of a role, albeit not a significant one.

I'm up in Monroe and it looks like close to 3 inches.Mahwah looks to have gotten 1.5.Came down pretty good in Monroe in the afternoon. My GF's house up here in HV is incredibly snowed in, drifts, huge piles along the driveway from the snowplow guy.Her four foot fence in the backyard is 2/3 covered!

Yeah this was an very strange storm. For most of the day I was in a dry slot. I saw moisture plumes to my west and to my easy but it seemed like that from about 10am through 3pm most of Nassau and Suffolk, with the exception of the extreme east end, was in a dry slot. Periodically there were some brief periods of light snow for me during that time frame. Def strange given that he surface LP was at or around 995MB-1000mb just to the S and E of LI during that time frame. Def strange dry slot given the setup.

I haven't been outside to see yet, but from the window it looks like we only had a dusting of less than an inch, even though for a while it was coming down hard and heavy last night. Sidewalks don't even need to be shoveled, and a quick brushing is taking the snow off of cars.

I'll know more when my husband goes out for the Sunday papers later.

Now onward to Tuesday's storm.

Interesting that according to the News 12 meteorologist Montauk only received 5.5" while East Hampton had 7.5". I guess it may have been warmer in Montauk and they were in rain for a bit? In East Hampton it started as a wet snow and sleet mix then went to sleet before going back to snow at about 2:45 PM. Looks like a New England snowscape here this morning. Unfortunately I need to head back to the black clumps of ice in NYC this evening and dig myself back into a parking spot. ugh

1.5" from the weird storm yesterday snowed from about 11:30 until  1:30 to warm nothing stuck just wet - then stopped and everyone was like where's the storm - then around 4 it started to come down and in minutes the ground was covered and stopped at about 7 then had a quick burst again a half hour later for about a half hour then we were done.

 Icy out there today!!

Really made it hard to accumulate, didn't stick here until I was under 20+ dbz bands for over half an hour, then it primed the surface to start sticking. The dryslot melted off the initial snow.
