Me too, but we've been burned so hard the past few storms, personally I'd rather not get hyped up early then if it trends down the crapper then I'm never really as disappointed as some of you guys are, sure it still gives me that sick feeling of anger but not to the extent of people expecting a massive storm. You've got to train your subconscious to not get excited far out, just think of the past few events. If it does work out, hey, then I'm pleasantly surprised, it's hard to lose with this mindset, it's not bittercasting, just realism.
Everybody just relax, it's the middle of March and we have a snowstorm to track, how bad could that be? If it comes through for us that would be great, if it doesn't, at least we had a few more days of tracking an event. I for one am not ready to start changing out equipment from snowplows and snowblowers for lawn mowers and weedwhackers. If it was up to me the Daffodils, Tulips, and Crocus could stay buried under snowpack for another 2 months. But we know that's not going to happen so enjoy the ride while we still have the chance and hope for the best.
I couldn't agree with you more Mako !

Re: March 17th-18th Storm Potential Discussion
Internet Explorer. I have two laptops one is a few years old and the other I just bought last November. The old laptop used to have an ad at the top right under NJ Strong logo, but lately it's disappeared. The new one also has Internet Explorer 11 and the add shows up all over the page your looking at, even right in the middle of peoples posts. Very annoying. I'll give your ad blocker download a shot on the new one. Thanks Pdubz.

Soul I saw the CPC map but unfortunately 3-7 day verification for them is just about as bad as everyone else, we were in that zone a few days before the 3/3 storm, doesn't mean much, HPC is much more sparse and right now not confident in over .25-.5" QPF for the region, an ok call ATM.

Re: March 17th-18th Storm Potential Discussion
Yea SREFs look decent overall, some sliders and some cutters. Precip mean cut a bit further north into north central NYS but that's nitpicking ATM.

This look on the NAM is very sexy. Classic ridge in the west with phase between northern and southern stream

I know its not fully in range yet but I like where the NAM has the snow going on instant wxmaps and it looks fairly moderate to sig possibly.
