Good luck Alex! Went to the Mets game and the game ended just as storms started rolling in, we were racing east on the island just ahead of it until we had to head north on the Sunken Meadow...then the skies opened up....visiting family in Fort Salonga overnight tonight waiting for that cold front.

Good luck this year kid! Now we have a poster from Vermont!

Yes you do, and i couldn't be happier to post up here. It's so beautiful with all the mountainous views and believe it or not, already some foliage. First light dusting of snow starts around the first to second week of October and we average 125" of snow a year so i can wait!

Anyone hear of any storm reports from yesterday? We had heavy downpours in Fort Salonga on the island, but I didn't hear of any problems, considering they put warnings out.

Regardless of what ones thoughts are on the situation. It's hard to be scientific facts and the truth is there are tons and I mean tons of scientists who have a different story than what the media like so portray. Has anyone read this lately.......

Ice caps have grown since two years ago. What was once water is now ice and also the size of Alaska.

I don't know. Coming from my cousins in New Milford yesterday, I drove through a torrential downpour. Not sure how much they got there.

I was in VT over weekend, beautiful weather but leaving Sunday midday it was humid up there so I only imagined what it was like down here. I was right man it is humid!I do not care if its not a heat wave it's terribly uncomfortable. Looking at long range looks like the weather is going to be about as boring as every through mid to late September, of course things can pop up but noting nothing in atlantic tropics and no major storms coming into the area. Oh also I was coming home the Merritt Parkway yesterday and passed through one of those severe t-storm warnings and it was raining like crazy and a big tree came down on the right lane making our trip take twice as long along with a accident. I hope this humidity doesn't last too long.

As per wunderground stats we finished below normal fractionally - .5* so it is within the normal range for the month of August and just at normal for our meteorological summer with June being above normal.

Onto fall everyone and October and November more November become important for our winter pattern.

Throw out my first statement about temps they went by TEB airport which was higher than my recordings after double checking - my stats say I was 2.2* below the norm for August.

According to this map, August finished solidly below normal for most In the Northeast region. I still have to look up the numbers for CPK, but I think for the Meteorological Summer they may have finished slightly below normal.
