31.1 for the morning low, so I beat the Doc, who's only 5 miles away, and lost to Snow Man, SOS.
Frank with a surprising 33. Is that in your new location Frank? Surprising freezes in central and south Jersey. I just hope this isn't a sign of things to come for the snow season ahead. No offense to my friends in the south.
First freeze of the season today is a little late in the season for the HV.

Mug's, it's just like last year. I'm already whipping their butts when it comes to the temp contest of 2014-2015. LET THE TRASH TALKING START NOW !!! And by the way good to see all you guys back here for what we all hope will be a cold and SNOWY Winter. I can't wait until Frank moves up to the Hackett's town area. He may kick all our butts with the Micro climate in that area.

Yea...January 7th! My mom and I took a drive that way the other day to check out the area. It is really nice. She's thinking about selling our home in Cranford (its been 24 years here for her now) so she is looking for a change. Morris or Someserset County seems to be her favorite so far.

Frank I don't know if you've driven down mainstreet in Hackettstown yet, but it looks like you went back in time. The buildings are really old,but well kept. It looks like a picture post cardor a Norman Rockwell painting. It's really nice.

Hmmmmmmmmmm. I've got the feeling I'm always going to be the show horse in these races with you and CP,SNOW.CP is 5 miles north of me and you are many miles west. This calls for desperate measures.Mugs post a little back gave me a great idea.I'm going to train a squirrel to hold an ice cube next to my transmitter between 5 and 6 AM.Heh Heh! I can collect a big bag of acorns as payment. At least those acorns will be good for something if they can't predict what kind of winter we will have.Think I'll name that squirrel Rocky....
I'll be posting my LOW reading this coming morning,CP and SNOW....WATCH OUT!!!!!!

So was Rod's voice like a Sean Connery distinction - those episodes were amazing!
Onto the weather - raw and dank these next three days - euro saying 1" of rain for us in NENJ and pts east of NYC over 1". Will be interesting to say the least - looks like my soccer games Thurs may be postponed - no turf. Better be cause I do not want to be coaching in the light rain/drizzle in 55* weather wind a NE/E breeze - goes right through you.

Frank if you get a chance go to the overlooks on the East and West bound lanes of Rt.80 in Hackettstown. The views are spectacular especially at this time of year. Doc have you ever been to them ? I'm telling you the view is breathtaking. I have a question for you Frank, is your mom a Snow Weenie like most of the members of this board and like yourself or is she a Snow Scrooge. I hope mom's a Snow Weenie because if she wants to move to the Morris/Sussex county area you will be getting plenty of the white stuff. Well except for the last few winter seasons. But I figure sooner or later it has to go back to more snow to the North and West. Hopefully, maybe, possibly. Sorry South and East members, but us North and West members need some of those huge hits you guys have been getting the last several years. lol !

Snow, I've seen those overlooks passing through 80 on the way to my buddies on Pocono Road near you.Gonna have to stop and check them out.The Water Gap is really beautiful.
Yeah, more N and W this year! Tired of this S and E bias recently.
47.6 degrees, barometer 29.98,falling
Noticed yesterday my 32 degrees and the 34 or35 degrees my compadres in Bergen County recorded. There's that HV effect.I'd be getting slop in Mahwah at 34-35 while up in my new location in the HV, it would be all snow.Let the flakes fly!

Re: October 2014 Obs and Discussions
Good morning Doc. There's another one just before exit 4 if your going West bound on Rt.80. That's worth checking out also. Beautiful views.
45*with calm winds and slowly falling barometer. It's raining at the moment and I have .10 in the rain gauge so far. But in Whippany NJ (work) where I'm at now, it's just cloudy and 48* with calm winds.
