The closest sites I could find to Bayonne when I searched this morning showed 0.25" in the northernmost station in Staten Island and 0.5" in Newark. This morning @ 4am there was nothing on the ground, not even a leftover puddle.

ETA - And today @ 11am we had a half hour of flurries.

Orange County NY seemed to be the sweet spot for this storm. Every tally from NWS trained spotters, that reported last night, was between 7-11.5 inches. I was at 9.4 right in the middle of those totals.

That map from Taunton doesn't seem to reflect that at all, they show 6 where all the reports were 7 to 11.5 as stated above. But I'm not surprised. Why they even show totals for spotters that never reported after 2 in the afternoon when the snow here didn't end till about 11 makes no sense.

Spoke to my neighbor who takes care of my house while I'm away. He measured the snow and the total for my location was 10" even.

I was thinking the same thing, CP.The last report from Monroe was 6 inches at 2 PM and we both know it snowed well after that.I measured 9 inches but that was never updated in thge "official" total chart.Someone just doing a quick glance would think Monroe had 6 inches for the storm.My feeling is do it right or not at all.

Doc and Mugs:

Don't you see through this charade. Doc reports 9.0 inches, I report 9.4, Mugsy doesn't even report and 24 hours later Snowman reports 10.0 inches and miraculously tops us again.

It's just like the low temperature contest, If I report 15.2 degrees he reports 14.9. What was the name of that Old Led Zeppelin movie, The song remains the same, well that's our Snowman.

Called Becks Xmas tree farm in Eastern Pa and they said only 3-4" out there - are they bs I g me or what? I bam not driving an hour plus to trudge through inches upon inches of snow.

Can someone verify the amount from Eastern PA? I see 8" out there but can't verify.

Doc it seems like your the only guy in my corner. My fellow snow weenie's (I won't mention any names Cp, Mugs) think my snow total is inaccurate.
If you read my post it says my neighbors measurement. Yet I'm accused of possibly fudging the numbers not only for snow amounts, but temps too.
I just may have to seek legal action for slanderous remarks. LOL !
