I know we only talk about the weather on here and in the scheme of things it's not nearly as important as what 12/7 signifies, but I don't get the context?????

The context is that it is only the 7th of December weather wise. We have a long way to go for this winter. Normally we dont see much snow south of I95 until the end of December. We have been spoiled the last 2 years. Be patient and it will come.

Call me selfish ore frustrated but if we're not getting snow down here yet AGAIN I don't want another near miss. I want a map like this one so nobody gets anything and I don't have to be so jealous and we can move on to the next possibility/disappointment.

This. I'm sorry if was a bit vague but this past week has been one heck of a week and I'm a bit burnt out. Bottom line is this is not a storm for most of us. It just isn't. It never really was. I'll be happy with a few flakes at some point overnight wed or Thursday. The current pattern stinks for the coastal plain to see snow so no need to feel burned by it. For us along the immediate coast this is not even close to a near miss. For hose in NW Nj and the lower to mid HV may have the near miss. Again im a bit burnt out from work et al. So I'm a bit more of a jerk for a lack of a better term so for I apologize. Btw. It's not winter yet. It just so happens that the first real threat for snow for the coast will occur shortly after the winter solstice.

Doc, you are one of the cogs in this well oiled machine of a weather forecasting site. NEVER a jerk. You mentioned in a prior post the coastal plain getting the most qpf. You're going to cash in big on one soon enough.Gotta keep casting those lines, friend, no matter what. You always get a hook up sooner or later.

Agree, I'm in the near miss zone up here.Thinking this is a Catskills, Poconios-Adirondacks storm at this point.

Syo, the way these storms are dumping big qpf your way, your area is gonna get slammed once the cold air sets in.The moisture just keeps coming.Frustrating right now for sure, but I like the pattern of the moisture coming up constantly.

Looks like I may get hit with this storm. That's alright though maybe I can stay home on Wednesday with my wife, It'll be my 30th wedding anniversary. What better way to spend it shoveling snow with my soul mate. NICE ! I'll check in with you in the morning, Goodnight Sleep
