Merry Christmas everyone.
After reading the latest analysis I would like to drop the 8 from my prediction of this seasons total snowfall from 87.4 to 7.4.
Someone also said something in one of the other threads about these slightly above normal temperatures continuing. Slightly above? Good God man lay off the egg nog. There is nothing slightly above about these last couple of days. Ridiculously above may have been a better choice of words.

Most people who wake up in the morning and scream christmas miracle is because there is snow outside. Well, I'm waking up and screaming Christmas Miracle this morning. Because the sun is out! I see the light!

Seriously it's at least sunny and not wet and cloudy. Amazing how there was pretty much no wind with any of the last day so called event. It's a bit gusty now but nothing crazy.

But I would much rather it be snow than just sun and pretty warm temps. Frank do u think we will even see a snosnowstorm of any great magnitude this year? I know it's end of December but I still have this bad feeling this may end up to be a winter devoid of snow. I hope I'm wrong.

Re: Wx Banter Thread 1.0
While almost all nationally known outlets were calling for the Santa Bomb to strike the east coast and Midwest and cause havoc with Christmas Eve travel with torrential rain, 50-60 mph winds and thunder and lightning none of these things came close to coming to fruition. My oldest son and his girlfriend traveled with no delays and very little turbulence from Atlanta to Newark Christmas Eve morning.
A shout out and special thanks to Frank for telling me four days before the event he didn't think it would be an issue and travel for them shouldn't be an issue. He was right and inaccurateweather, the weather channel, our local mets and every other so called pro called it and hyped it up only to be dead wrong.
Thanks again Frank

Np CP...since this storm was coming during a holiday I figured the media would embellish it. Glad to hear your son and his gal made it home safely.

Re: Wx Banter Thread 1.0
FOLKS I'M DONE. Looks like yet ANOTHER disappointment. First we finally get cold and the cold suppresses the storms to the south!!!! Then on the 4th we have a storm that looks to cut. I'm not reading or posting for a week. I'm done for awhile. Can't take the constant gut punches. Later.

Re: Wx Banter Thread 1.0
This happened frequently last year from mid -Feb through March, PV suppression of storms to the south.Patterns not coming together yet for the snowstorms up here.Good idea you take a break if it is getting on your nerves.I've been watching so long this kind of action is normal for the NYC area and I am patient enough for it to come together this year....or the next....or the next, etc, etc etc.

DTone. Those that forget the past are bound to repeat it. So let's forget about all past blizzards and hope they repeat.
