Unfortunately I'm use to that smell so it goes unnoticed. When I smell snow though...
Re: Wednesday, Jan. 21st Clipper Storm
Eh. thats debatable....SREFs handling of BL is always suspect due to it being a mean and its resolution IMO.amugs wrote:That is a 3"+ snow with that QPF on the srefs! Ace you are rain on these runs HAHAHAHA!!! Take that

Through 45 energy looks impressive but not sure the trough is as sharp as 18z

Re: Wednesday, Jan. 21st Clipper Storm
I like the height rises along the coast. This should still be a good run.

A lot of energy swinging into the Ohio valley but a bit strung out at hour 63 and trying to consolidate at 66

Re: Wednesday, Jan. 21st Clipper Storm
Guys, this is a big turn around at H5. For one thing, heights are rising along the east coast much better. They're not flat. Today's storm moving out quicker might be the reason why. Also in prior runs there was a vort max in the upper Midwest trying to de-amplify the pattern downstream. That's also not showing on the models anymore. Big turn of events.

For Stormvista you have to be in the northeast region. National maps do not work.

Very nice run to kick of the 00z suite that I will check in the morning before I go to school. Bring home some goods but Frank keys being
1. as you stated this storm getting out of here faster
2. Western ridge staying put
3. Heights rising on ec
4. No energy de amplifying things

6. Positive vibes - Scott I want that pic of you doing a snow angel in your briefs from this storm like last year you promised on this board! No I am not a perv or anything of the sort but a bet sroc made to us on thi board
