Waiting anxiously up here at LSC. 0z Euro tonight has 8-12" (IK EURO is in deep sh** right now and not the model of choice this close to the storm but SREF backs it up too).

Frank, if you look at current radar you'll see a tiny dry slot right over the East River suddenly. Is it possible that band over LI going to 'suck up' the energy around it so to speak?

It should train snow bands over NYC and east until late morning.

No, what we need is more lift.

EURO totally caved to the GFS/GEM on this one, it didnt cave until 0z tonight, maybe the upgrades they did to the GFS were actually useful and fortify my position of never disregarding solutions because it turned out to have a better idea of where the heavy snows would be. The NAM is still, well, the NAM...

Hey man, good to see you still around. Good luck up there, should be a great storm.

You might wanna check the 00z GFS again. It has NYC getting 4 inches of snow.

They're approaching 10

Haha, I know. Unfortunately for us, that mega band is going to create subsidence. Soul, that may be why you're seeing some dry slotting.

Yeah, Thx, thats what I meant. It's as if that skinny band to the west of Manhattan is still moving but the heavy bands do a dead stop at the East River
