Wow, went out for lunch and got caught in a graupel downpour for about 10 minutes about 12:15... never saw so much graupel in my life!

Re: February 7th-9th Observations
21* and snowing really fine flakes. I think we're done in my area except maybe a few flurries. All together with the sleet, freezing rain and snow we may have a total of an inch.

I'm in a dry slot. Nothing since 7 AM. Patiently waiting the alleged snow at 3 pm.
Update is now snow pellets.

Sadly, there's not much on radar that suggests snow will fall in NNJ at 3pm, or in the commuting window it seems. Maybe something will emerge later but it looks pretty barren in E PA right now.

I think you're right Pete. Wonderground Weather still has WWA for my area and is showing ice pellets for the later afternoon. Well, on to the next.....

Re: February 7th-9th Observations
For our area, this storm looks pretty much done. There is an area of precip out in central PA heading this way that could bring snow accumulations to CNJ/NNJ/NYC later today

Re: February 7th-9th Observations
Yep, down to just flurries with blowing snow.I'd say close to 4 inches new snow today and 1.6 yesterday.Near 6 all told unless something starts up later.

Re: February 7th-9th Observations
Measured 1.5" of snow, sleet, Graupel, freezing rain, most, fog, dog hair and pigeon poop did I miss anything?
If that me band stays together is PA then we may up the total by a.25 to maybe .5" if we are lucky.
24* here and the pipeline looks good in the long range

Re: February 7th-9th Observations
rb, noticed you are in Greentown. That's near my buddies at Lake Wallenpaupack. After you get off I-84, I think it's 507 or 502, you make a left past Frank's Family Restaurant and then the next left to the Lake.
Think you were a little too far west and south for this one.I was on the extreme southern edge so was able to pick up 5.6 in two days.
