Dumb question, does this have the potential of ticking too far south?

It's not about the cold air pushing the h5 south as much as it is the lack of blocking to our east to ease the progressive flow enough to get a big storm here....

Not true Jman, you don't get WSW from winds, snow fall 6 inches or up, or significant snow combined with ice, that's it.

Blizzard warnings have to do with wind and visability not totals. Other than maybe eastern LI, I wouldn't expect either. I think you're jumping the gun here.

sorry its annoying I sometimes do not get my point across right. I meant I hope we get a wsw, yes 6+ snow for that. But I was also saying ewven with only some snow with the winds forcasted we could still see "b" watches go up at least, maybe warnings. Frank mentioned the 12z CMC would lead to that verbatim. Yes what I wrote above was wrong but I just worded it wrong.

BINGO!!!!!

Just the way I like it,Local Mets practically brushing it off as a minor snow event.Remember BD, OTS then 1 to 3.

This is perfect!!!

There is no more positive signal than this in all of forecasting. Lock it up.

How come none of the Mets are showing a storm for the weekend. Are they playing it safe?
