Wx Banter Thread 1.0
Boston mayor Marty Walsh is considering dumping some of the snow into Boston Harbor. If that happens:

EURO snow map for Sunday

Nice to look at...I wish there was more west-based blocking. I would actually give this merit if there was.

How many times have we been in that bulls eye 2-5 days out Docstox and it never verifies, and yet we still have 4 feet of snow so far this season. I shouldn't complain, if Red Sox Suck weren't getting twice that I'b be content.

You know it's bad when you see a snow map like that and it makes you viscerally angry. It's almost like now that it's been modeled it will not happen. Like we live in meteo-bizzarro land.

I really can't think of anything else.
Neither can i, if Seattle scores that touchdown at the end, I win the final on my box, 2 grand down the drain.

Re: Wx Banter Thread 1.0
February 25-26 2010 was another great moment in Boston failure history. If we could get a repeat or two of that storm, I think we'd all get that "justice has been served" feeling. Some on Long Island may not have felt the same, but I know myself as a city dweller loved every minute of that storm.mako460 wrote:Grselig wrote:Boston. The only good things about Boston

Re: Wx Banter Thread 1.0
Check this out. An NWS office in Michigan measured nearly 9 inches of snow with JUST .12" of precip. That is a 72:1 snow ratio!!!!!

Re: Wx Banter Thread 1.0
LOLOLOL! Frank your too funny, so no possibility of Euro, what about half? The storm looks potent, just needs be in right place. I am praying our heat and hot water works Fri-Sun, it was out yesterday, and again today. I will not pay them $100 a day from my rent from now on without heat or hot water I swear (with a baby its not cool). BTW the run last night I believe Euro showed windchills with sat winds 40-50mph to -20 in city to as low as -50 up north?! Is this possible would have to be some kind of record, what can that do to power, heating pipes etc?

Re: Wx Banter Thread 1.0
This might belong in the banter thread but it is in reference to the Sunday storm so.....
Let me start off the tracking of Sunday's storm by saying that on Friday 12z runs the storm will track about 150 miles nne and possibly bring in mixing issues into NYC metro and LI. Hudson valley will be forecasted to get 8 to 10" then wind up with 2 to 4" but the coast of eastern New England should be in line for 12 to 18".

Not getting my hopes up but the nest thing about that Euro map is Boston and NYC lackpot on that and in between is far less, kinda odd.
