Major differences on the 00z EURO compared to 12z for the late weekend/early week storm it seems.

Re: Official Long Range Thread 6.0
Low goes through northern NY on this run and gives us a rainstorm. Completely different from 12z where the low goes off the coast south of NJ giving us a snowstorm. Thankfully, it's a week away.

Wow, snow, that narrows things down! Would be our luck to have Tuesdays cut way south and next weekend a GLC with a 2 or 3 inch rainstorm,LOL.

That would ultimately suck.
I am extremely happy to inform you that through the entire 00z Euro run there is an amazing mini screw zone circle right over Boston on the snowfall map!

Frank_Wx wrote:00z GFS now even further off the coast with the Sunday storm. Pretty sure this is a dead threat given the way H5 looks. Not going to rule out some rain though, especially for LI.
By the time the mid level energy reaches the coast, the frontal boundary stalled off our coast is too far east.
Main storm will be between 22nd-25th. Will have a blog up this weekend.
Night everyone! Better luck next storm :-D

Looks like we may lose the Sunday storm on this GFS run, but there's still something trying to form at hour 144.

Re: Official Long Range Thread 6.0
Anddddd it just fizzles out south of us. Looks like a March 2014 pattern incoming.
I give up on this winter. Give me a warm and dry spring/summer/first half of fall please. Can't wait.
