Yes, Price would be huge and he will not cost as much as Hamels.

If the Yankees have to give up a big prospect, so be it as long as its not Severino... never give up your stud pitching prospects. Look at the caliber of pitcher your getting in return. Pitching wins championships. The way I look at it, you might as well go for the brass ring now.

Frank Diehard Yankee since i was 12 1956 The year Mickey hit 52 Anyway this current crop got me sick The last two games with Balt been the worst They had great chance to start with Toronto even or 1 game up in lost column If they take 2 over the weekend it will be a miracle They need Tex and i don't think they will go to far without him Just venting my frustration Do you think we will be able to get to the first round after the wild card game ??

Don't worry...we're just 3 games back. Jays plays Rays this weekend so you never know. As long as we keep winning we'll have a shot at the division.

Yankees 2015 Season - Page 5 Empty Re: Yankees 2015 Season

Post by CPcantmeasuresnow Sun Sep 27, 2015 9:38 am

Yesterday shows again why taking Warren out of the rotation this year in mid season was just plain stupid.  When he pitches regularly without having to worry about being yanked in and out of the bullpen he is a solid no. 3 starter.

With Eovaldi not healthy, and Nova still not himself, although he will be great next year after his full recovery from Tommy John surgery and CC still up and down, If the Yankees can make it to the divisional series my four starters would be Tanaka, Severino, Pineda and Warren.

Anyone notice that 6 out of 7 of the Yankees starting pitchers are age 21-28. And that doesn't include several top notch minor leaguers and Bryan Mitchell waiting in the wings. The future is bright.

This offense looks like it doesn't care. Almost as if they don't want the division.

The division is long gone, I'm starting to get Met fan syndrome paranoia and I'm worrying about the wild card now. They need to finish 3-3 to clinch home field wild card. The way they're hitting right now that's no lock.

Oh you would love it if they missed the wild card Janet. Very Happy

It's okay to admit it, I respect that more than the people who profess to root for both teams. Very Happy I was born of the generation to love the one team and hate the other. I went so far as to root for the hated Red Sox against the Mets in the 86 series, we all know how well that turned out for me. Mad

I very rarely post on the Yankee thread, but I can't resist the wonderful fat one over the plate you pitched, CP.

How do you feel about those Red Sox you rooted for in '86 this morning,LOL?

Anyway, I agree 100% with you, and totally admire your 100% loyalty to the Yanks and the AL! You are an old timey NY Baseball Fan with 1950's values!

PS. I'd throw 50 bucks on the Yanks making the playoffs.Who they will play is REALLY interesting, right down to the wire.A great thing for Baseball!!!

We will know early on tonight if Tanaka's on his game or not. Hate to say it but I don't have a good vibe. Yankees have been up and down all year with their hitting. Plus their facing a pitcher that they haven't scored upon in 16 innings. Good news he's pitching on 3 days rest. Let's hope for the best and bring it home! Go Yanks!!!

My cheerios did not go down well this morning after last nights debacle. What a disgrace! Yankees just showed there age the past month and ran out of gas. In the off season I would shop around Texiera and get back some prospects. Bryd has shown he can be our everyday first baseman. I would also bring up outfielder Judge next season. One other thing I would do is go after David Price since he will be a free agent.

Tanaka pitched well but Keuchel was better. He reminds me of Glavine . He doesn't have overpowering stuff. He paints the corner and throws a lot of off speed pitches. The Yanks need to do something about their hitting.

Sadley I could have predicted last nights outcome 2 months ago. The achillies heal the last few months have been the inability to score runs, and get the hit when it matters most.
