Plenty of snow left, although it has compressed and melted some.

It may hit 50 soon, 48 now.

Lee had a great snowpack map on last night depicting exactly what you said.CPK peaked at 19 inches right after the last snow.He expected single digits today.

March sun blasting remaing snowpack here. Down over a foot at least.

Ramapo River completely free of ice and flowing.

Inaccuweather calling for cold to return next week. The Battle of Winter and Summer begins,LOL!

And on!y reason CPK has that much is because it's a "park"
An actual neighborhood where ppl live is less.

58 here in Syosset. Almost No snow left on the side of the street the sun shines on in the afternoon. Afternoon shady side of the street still close to 10" snow pack. Out shooting hoops with my boy in short sleeves. Feels nice.

Nice day weatherwise.  During the colder months when we don't have snow, its conditions like those today that I enjoy.  It's the first time since December 27th we had a day like this Smile

36.7 windy, sunny and 6 inches of compressed compacted snow left on the ground, a little more in shady areas.

This is the stuff that will leave most reluctantly. The water equivalent is I'm sure at least 2 or more inches and other than a deluge this weekend this snow will be around till next week at least.

CPK 2nd longest stretch of consecutive days with 6"+ snow cover will end today. I'm guessing its up 40 something days now.

The consecutive days of 1"+ may last a day or two, now the 5th longest on record, maybe moving to 4th (which was last year..and 3rd place was 2010-11 so we been in a good run the last few years)

The airports which have little shade are all done with snow cover.

It's 44 consecutive days of 6 inches or more of snow cover in CPK going into today. Since like you say it will end today there's no way it will catch the record of 51 consecutive days. It's a shame but without more snow this had  no chance unless we had a cold stretch like last March.
