Are you taking into account the rain before the change over and maybe non accumalation snow on the onset...it's tough to judge exactly how much is snow...maybe cut .05-.1

Yeah apparently its a bit heavier than it looked, but still not what we were hoping for a few days ago but basically another similar storm to what we have been havining with maybe a few more inches if we push the top.

And the WSW will by tomorrow become a WWA.

I think we've seen this script before.

Almost a non event for here again, getting so tired of this.

Slowly starting to not like winter, wasting too much time on nothing the past few years, seriously.

Lol, the WWA curse I believe we are now in! ;-)

We've lost the NAM to the south trend too which isn't surprising I guess. Just wanted 00z's to correct north which now I'm doubting.

A lot of that precip in South Jersey is not snow. I would say maybe 1/2 of the amount is snow .

Wow I love what the NAM did. It developed a second wave along the front for Thursday afternoon into night. Other models shut off the precip by late morning. Incredible if this trend continues on other guidance. That would surely boost up snow amounts for northern folks...and increase snow amounts even more for SNJ

Looks like some mountain towns in WV will get 2 feet.

Lots of precip in WDC and Balt but a lot of that is probably rain, sleet or freezing rain.

I gotta say though, you're right on with the whole frontogenisis thing. Thing is, if you look at QPF map for NAM, you can see the HEAVIEST precip right in CNJ is not far away from the cutoff say 100 miles north. If that shifts just 25-50 miles north, the city gets in on it. Folks in Hudson Valley & just away from the NE coast are gonna be real disappointed I think.

Unfortunately the cut-offs are sharp on the northern fringe. It is the nature of this storm. It really sucks but just know that there will be people just south of you who could cash in while you do not. It's not set in stone yet where that cut-off will be to the north, and I am pretty sure I'll be changing my 1st call, so stay tuned.

We'll survive, we have 20 inches of snow on the ground so let the south enjoy their day.
