2015 Rangers playoffs
Brutal loss tonight. The king gives up 6 goals in two consecutive games? When was the last time that happened?
There was a Scott from Wading River on Francessa's show today about 4:30 or so talking rangers hockey. Could it have been our doctor/administrator?

Re: 2015 Rangers playoffs
Amugs. Since 2011 the Rangers could have/should have won 2 Stanley Cups. I'm a die hard fan. Only sport I care about. I even named my son after "the Messiah". Since torterella they have not had even an average power play. It is really that simple. One guy to blast pucks from the point while someone stands in front and the other skilled guys skate around looking for rebounds. It really is that simple. This will be season number 6 where they conceivably have a shot at competing for a cup but they can't fix their pp. for a team with their resources and big market attraction it is inexcusable to not address or fix your biggest issue. Just look at tonight's game. The lack of a pp combined with the Devils going 1/1 changes the complexion of a game.

Syo absolutely the pp can be enemic or placid at times. I have been a fan since 1976 watching games on msg in my basement with my brother and then playing knee hockey on the carpet with rulers and dice or a ping pong ball this was before they had knee hockey. We have so many years that would be years dating back to the 80's. Crazy I would think you were a Islander fan. We bring in Yandle for the pp and nada, Boyle before that. Very frustrating. We have the best goalie in the world and I love how we have to hang on scratching and clawing for wins. How come we can never get an open net goal ir rarely do when it counts. Love the team, my son went to the Rangers Camp thiss ynmer, was his bday present from my family and it was an unbelievable experience. Fir me crossing the new Tappan Zee Bridge is an engineering marvel but so was being in the practice facility. First class camp and facility.

Re: 2015 Rangers playoffs
I hear you. Yandle is a waste while Duclair will score 30 a year for the next 12 years. Boyle is an embarrassment to himself and we let Stralman walk for the same $$$. It's a mess. Unless they can unload one of those 2 defenseman and maybe even Nash if someone will take his salary and bring back 2 young big skilled forwards they're done this year. We are wasting lundqvists best years. It's a crime. When the coach will not play Mcilrath instead of Boyle it's a disgrace.

By the way Lundqvists is definitely a top goalie and you can win with him but he's not the best. Top 6 yes

Re: 2015 Rangers playoffs
Best goalie in the world doesn't give up a short-side goal in the 3rd period of a game you just took the lead in 1 minute later. Best goalie in the world does not give up a 2 mile an hour backhander from the slot in a zero zero game 7 at home to go to the Cup finals.
......and this is the torture of being a Rangers fan. I pray to god every night that I could stop rooting for them. They ruin my enjoyment of hockey and sports in general. This team as constructed CANNOT win and I know this, yet I still watch and root. I'm sick in the head.
Solution: Girardi/Staal/Yandle/Boyle 2 need to be gone this year and bring back big young forwards or high draft picks. Play Mcilrath.
Stepan/Nash combined 16.5 million dollars. Find a way to get someone to take 1 of them off our hands and bring back more youth and size.
Then in the offseason with all the saved money make a big play for a number 1 center. A defenseman with a big shot (Byufglien) and some big young wingers.
