Amazing given the current wind shear analysis.

Logically thinking, i'd much rather have the potential for a few snowflakes in October than a massive hurricane.

Ditto hurricane that scary is no joke and although i like exciting storms that would be downright terrifying and my little one does not need to experience that nor do any of us. Incredible to see such a thing out there in October and heading northeast.

Totally agree. The fun of tracking was enough for this storm. Just want some rain in North Jersey.

Approximately 7 hours in total. Station plots took 5 hours, isobars took 2 as I penciled them in first, adjusted, then erased and marked in pen.

Awesome job kid. Be proud of such work and save it for one day when you are a pro met you can look back on such work and feats and reminisce and be proud. As a teacher of Technical Drawing I can fully appreciate paper and pencil drawings, spent many painstaking hours producing such in my day as well.

Thanks very much guys, Ill be sharing projects and studies I do. Myself and two other students this fall are beginning the process to fund the purchase of a weather station for Ashland, a town next door at about 1200'. Doing so compared to Plymouth which is at approx 500'(placement dependent), we will study CAD, mixed precip, temp inversions, precip melting height, the difference in total precip, snowfall(since it is on the east side of the valley uphill=more precip), and we will try and put a camera up there to study fog formation.

That will be an interesting study, the variations implicit in that 700 foot elevation difference.Miniclimatology.

Keep us posted on your findings when the station is up and running.

Certainly in the best case we would get one in ashland, then one further east at a higher elevation to really get good data, yet we are limited due to the number of grants we can apply for, so we are limited to a smaller scale study.

Well, the research with the two stations will be valuable and if money comes in for that third station, your data will be available for future comparisons.

This is how science develops. One research team builds upon the knowledge of another.
