Seeing as the long term pattern looks bleak snow wise, might as well enjoy near 70 temps today.

Already 52 here. Next 3 days will be in the 60's with 70s possible from CNJ on south. I guess I wouldn't be surprised to see NYC reach 70.

Does anyone know what the record high is for my area because it's going to get shattered I think. I'm currently at 63° rising quickly

For cp it"s 68/64 newark 68/63. Coastal locations like Bridgeport Islip and JFK the records are much lower and I think they have already been broken for today. Also tomorrow is the cooler day than today as a back door cold front will come dow. temperatures may not get out of the fifties tomorrow so unlikely temperatures will be broken tomorrowskinsfan1177 wrote:Does anyone know what the record high is for my area because it's going to get shattered I think. 46.4* up here in Lyndonville, VT and no snow to be found, even over the border in Southern Canada. Very very rare for this time of year up here.

No snow in Buffalo yet, first time since the 1800s theyve gone this long. Or so Ive heard, not sure if its true or global warming hype.

Re: December 2015 Observations & Discussions
61* at 11 a.m. in December. Wow. I'm not surprised by the warm start to this season as I anticipated with the El Nino and some other factors that our cold (and snow chances) would be concentrated in January-February, but I can't say I thought it would be t-shirt and shorts weather less than two weeks before Christmas either.

Re: December 2015 Observations & Discussions
For the rain Monday, looked at NAM/GFS and noticed low CAPE levels, but moderate lifting and intense shear out with the frontal passage. With this in mind and temps into the mid-60s out ahead of it, I wouldnt rule out rumbles of thunder or isolated thunderstorms imbedded in the line.

Great point. Thunder is definitely possible under these conditions.

64° and overcast. Stationary front sitting over NENJ keeping the clouds socked in. Looks nice and sunny down the shore where the front is still in western NJ.

Re: December 2015 Observations & Discussions
Talked to my boss the other day, she said they are up 50% year over year for OCT/NOV/DEC so far almost all due to the weather. People are out and about on the weekends, and landscapers, builders etc. are still working during the week for the lunch business. Crazy stuff.skinsfan1177 wrote:Yes sir Ace it feels so nice out boardwalk is packed you would think it's summer up their

Yea, can't believe the last time I wore short sleeve shirts consecutive days in December. Seeing people walk around in shorts and short sleeves looks a bit odd.
