Re: Wx Banter Thread 2.0
This is certainly a fitting way for this non Winter season to end. Three days ago several major models showed us getting 12-18 inches of snow so I find it very fitting that this storm will give most of the area nada.
I've never lived through a good winter in a strong El Niño and that streak certainly continues. I never had much hope for this winter and my hopes were certainly fulfilled.
Everyone did their best here with the hands they were dealt. As always the time and work Frank, Sroc, Mugs, Al, Janet, Ryan and many others put into this place is greatly appreciated.
It's hard to imagine next winter being worse than this one especially temperature wise. I use to consider the winter season from November through March and we just experienced the warmest November through March in the history of record keeping. F U Hellnino.

Oh well, Not worth getting too depressed about. Scary how time flies. Before you know it we will be voting for a new president and getting excited about winter. And with how that's been going in the news that will be sure to help be not too boring

Regarding the Euro weeklies and their cold and wintry start to the first week in April? They can kiss my ass for all of the good they've been in the long range this winter. I wish there was a middle finger emoji to give every single model this winter.

WOW ! CP your very hostile today, but I couldn't agree with you more. For snow weenies this year absolutely SUCKED especially for those of us in the North and West areas. But remember my saying from a great tv show from the fifties that I wrote a few months ago to you. "Pins and needles needles and pins it's a happy man that grins" or breath through the nose and out the mouth and relax. Trust me I'm as miserable as you are. Have a great day Cp.

Great SNOW on the Ralph Kramden expression. It worked great until Mr.Johnson the Landlord, raised the rent 5 bucks a month,LOL!
Couldn't agree more with CP and You on how we were jerked around by these awful models this season.I'm sure the guys up north of me above I 84 feel the same way.Terrible ride this winter and hoping for a lot better next one.

As a North of I-84 guy, with maybe 3-4 total inches of snow for the year...it was a disappointing winter. No tubing, no sledding, no snow people, rarely any hot chocolate, and just goofy weather with bad modeling and nefarious snow measuring at Central Park. Sad, sad, sad. As the Wicked Witch said as she was melting "Oh, what a world! What a world!". That's right and we all live in it, too.

Hey Ray..If you are reading I wanted to give you your props man. I I tried briefly to find where you said it but even when the models were still trending towards a beast of a storm, you were the first one that I know of, at least with legitimate reasoning, to raise the red flag on the eastern soln.
Anyway much props my friend

CP this is for you. This is what snoww88 was reffering to. The Euro control from 12z yesterday: Look at the HP block to the NE causing that sucker to hook right into the NJ coast ala Sandy. Just remember all this is nothing more than a mere fantasy.
Now mind you the euro control overnight at 00z no longer has what you see above, but it does has our first tropical system of the season. If it went out further the Trough/ULL over the plains looks like it wants to capture it then phase it then slam it into the coast somewhere. Or not. Again Fantasy

CP, you mentioned after the fantasy storm that was on the models last week that your seasonal snow total based solely on fantasy snowstorms was over 300". With this fantasy storm, what's it up to now?

Mike, don't know about the amount of this fantasy storm, but if we take CP's total this season of say, roughly 20 inches, and divide that into the 300 inches, you get a factor of 15.So CP and I will divide by 15 any screwball totals of clown snow maps in the future, and thats what we in the N and W areas will get.
