Why is it that the radio tonight said up to 6 inches of snow expected tomorrow? Can areas south or east still get 6 inches or have the models shown a more northwest movement?

No. Whoever said that may have lost their mind.
This 985mb low will remain well offshore. Unfortunately.
This winter has officially pissed me off. Too many events offshore. The NAO has failed us.

Expect snow to end late morning. Heck the sun will be out by afternoon and most of it might melt. Morning commute may be slick. Be careful

Re: 03/04 Minor Snow Event
Radar looks bad, mountains ate up most of the primary precip, C-1" at best gone by tomorrow when the sun comes up, slightly more possible south 1-2 maybe.

Light snow with a dusting on all surfaces, Looks to be ending up here as per radar, though.

Re: 03/04 Minor Snow Event
woke up to about 2 inches down here but only on grass and cars, nothing on the roads. Looks like I will be in that isolated 3 inch zone when its all done.

7 am and not even a dusting in northern Orange County. So let it be said; so let it be written.

Re: 03/04 Minor Snow Event
29.1*F. Light snow all morning. Grass almost covered, paved surfaces just starting to get a slush to them. Heres to hoping that band just south of LI makes to the N Shore of Suffolk County.

Re: 03/04 Minor Snow Event
just about an inch here mostly on the coldest surfaces. snow picked up in intensity last 15 minutes hoping that band just south of me can make it into my area. we were so close with this one tough pill to swallow. southern New Jersey's going to end up with 6 inches and the nam shows .5 for eastern Long Island after 7 a.m. this morning

Re: 03/04 Minor Snow Event
About an inch here too... just enough to look pretty but not a problem with the roads in the north here

Pathetic is the only word that comes to mind.
Most of the dusting has now melted and the sun is out. 35.7 degrees.
