Re: Tuesday 12/6 Snow Event Discussions & Observations
.22" of rain, with some flakes mixed in, temp is dropping, down to 36°. Could have some slippery conditions developing if it continues...

Flipped to sleet here with the end approaching. Looks like only a half inch at best. HRRR bust.

About 2.5" here in Binghamton, NY. Maybe 3 before it compacted because of how wet it is.

4:45 am and it looks like a half inch tops. It was really looking good last night and then abruptly it all ended. 32 degrees. Driveway barely covered, I can see the blacktop. Winter continues to disappoint above I-84.

1.2 inches bringing the seasonal total to an even 7.0. Measured at midnight last night when I got home so some compacting may already have begun.
The nightmare of last December is slowly being erased. Need a good 6-8 in one event before Christmas to completely wipe it out.

I will be the barometer to tell if "N&W" includes above I-84. What is it with the Snow Fairy, anyway? Up here we are always the bridesmaid and never the bride.

It's really only last winter. We had over 72 inches two years ago so I'll never complain about that. Last year? plenty of complaining to do about that.

I seem to remember a brilliant statistician remarking..."as December goes, so goes the winter!". May it be forever thus.
With the snow we have totalled, CP , and the possibility of maybe a few more inches coming up, this could be a good December for us in the HV.
