As you well know Janet the NWS adds sleet as snow totals there is no differentiating between the two. Up that total to 3.9 don't sell yourself short.

Yeah, I like to see it separately for my own info, I will add it to my total for the year for sure!

5.1" here in Fishkill. My parents in NEPA had just over 3". They said they had very, very heavy sleet from just before daybreak through the end.

I just spent two and a half hours of shoveling heavy wet snow 3 inches I received and I don't know how much ice I have but it looks beautiful on the trees and it does look like a Christmas postcard

One of the least  enjoyable snowfalls in recent memory for me, maybe b/c I had to be out and about but its mostly  massive puddles and flowing rivers of slush.  Before 8am it was a nice and the tress do look nice coated in ice.

26* and light sleet and freezing rain in Hyde Park. Just measured 6.5 inches, measured a couple of places to make sure and yup, 6.5 inches. Looks beautiful but took me 2 hours to shovel driveway, lol.

At least with the seasonal snow total up to 3.2" CPK has overtaken the first slot: The 1972-73 snow season that CP loves (sarcasm) which had 2.8" the entire winter.

I can relate to this. What I shoveled wasn't quite snow, more like a gray slush floating in standing water. That stuff that when you shovel it to the side the water rushes back out and soaks your feet. But the snow and ice coating the roofs and grass looks nice and Christmasy.

Down around Baltimore and DC they were in freezing rain the whole time. Just a freezing rain to plain rain event.

Temps hanging tough in the 30's in NJ, 40's in DC area. My temp hit 35° now falling again. We are going to have a problem with more freezing tonight until that warm air gets up here. Some roads still icy, never really melted...

Speaking of freezing rain, I thought my ears heard around 12 pm today or so that it would all change to (freezing) rain. The snow stopped and I am thankful for the six inches and I see now the rain is coming late tonight where I am, around 1 am Sunday morning. The temps...ah, the temps. What will the temps be given the cold air is like a horse coming around the barn. Right now at 8 pm it is 25 here. So I expect there will be a bit of freezing rain, maybe, then rain, and the snow will be (maybe) gone by 8 am tomorrow. All in all, I enjoyed the snow and we need the water any way we can get it for the water table. It just seems the snow went out and the rain is taking a coffee break.
