January 7th 2017 Snow Storm: SNOW MAPS ONLY
Here is my first call map I started putting together after I evaluated all the 00z runs last night but before looking at 6z, along with the second call map after fully evaluating the 6z and most of the 12z runs this afternoon. Yes this is coming out before I see the Euro. I feel pretty good about this map except to say anywhere east of the city, esp the eastern half of geographical LI and the central and eastern coastlines of CT may have some enhancement to totals if any mesobanding sets up over them. Remember this will be a higher ratio snow so if a meso band sets up over top of these areas, even a thin one, for an hour or two, an additional 1-2" to 1-3" additional is possible on top of totals on the second call map, but this would likely be in isolated areas. Unfortunately we will likely need to watch the best mesobanding sit just offshore south and east of LI. Sorry to my N&W brethren. I do hope we have a last minute miracle, on the order of an extra 1-2" for you guys, and gals as well, but Im just not feeling it.

Wow from your posts earlier I didnt think you would go that aggressive for LI. Guess I gotta prep the snowblower. I will say SREF nailed this past event. Had a mean of 1.96" for Islip for this event, I got 1.9"
