All these threads I never knew about! And this was the vanilla Ice I saw live at my spring fling in 2003. Yes he went heavy metal...Lets just say someone hit him with a bottle and he went local breaking it and coming into the crowd and trying to slash the guy, it was over real quick and spring fling ruined.

Since out recent weather had been like that of the South, maybe someone could film a brief road trip in the area. Use this music and say you took a drive in South. They won't know the difference:

Re: Song of the Day
This is song that makes me think of the bright, sunny days in the early spring and the late summer. It was also featured on the Weather Channel's "Local on the 8s" during the '00s.

Re: Song of the Day
A winter's day
In a deep and dark December
I am alone
Gazing from my window
To the streets below
On a freshly fallen, silent shroud of snow
I am a rock
I am an island
Last night, I looked at the fresh snow on the ground. So this Simon & Garfunkel tune fits:
In a deep and dark December
I am alone
Gazing from my window
To the streets below
On a freshly fallen, silent shroud of snow
I am a rock
I am an island
Last night, I looked at the fresh snow on the ground. So this Simon & Garfunkel tune fits:

Fits perfectly and IMO the second best S&G song behind only the Sounds of Silence.

Your right, CP, they are in the one hit wonder category.I think this was around '71 or '72.That was right in the "middle" of us Baby Boomers being YOUNG!!!!

Re: Song of the Day
I brought up this song in the main weather section, but here is my favorite rendition of The Who's "Won't Get Fooled Again" from the 70s. The pitch in this video is a bit different from the actual video but it's still nice. It shows pretty much how much fun they had. And boy could Keith Moon play. Shame he died young:
