Tuesday 01/31 Clipper

Steady accumulating snow here in Binghamton, NY. Ground starting to whiten.

radar looks great for first 2-3 hrs. hasn't started yet here on LI but should by 10:00 or so. Cold temps and dewpoint should allow for fast accumulations. Early dismissal would be great.

Steady light snow here. Already a dusting on the roads and sidewalks.

Snowing consistently at 24 degrees in New Providence. Surfaces covered up pretty quick.

Been snowing in Bloomfield for an hour or so, but now the flakes got large and the sky got dark. Now it's starting to coat the street.

yep al, i wasn't expecting it to come down quite as hard as it has been.

Light snow here now but heavy to moderate snow here for about 45 minutes - nice heavy coating to about 1/4 on teh ground here so far.
Just got word we are having an early dismissal at 12PM!!!!

Snow! Not quite a 1/4 inch. Was heavier when it started around 10:30 but has sputtered to a light snow. Bus driver and phone repair guy both told me the roads are slippery! I see the radar looks like it is almost outta here but Mugs' radar snapshot shows the next round.I am thinking we get about 3 inches out of this. Light, powdery stuff out there. It is now noon. 22 degrees out. This should go until 9 pm tonight. Now it feels like winter.

Noice little convective band in response to some 850mb frontogenesis over eastern portions of LI. I'm at about 1/2-3/4"

Early Dismissal again in T minus 11 minutes!!

report from back home on LI is about a 1/2 inch and snowing lightly. Roads covered, but all schools on LI are operating normally. NJ once again getting the snow closures lol. Whimps!!

Binghamton, NY about 1.5" and done snowing for now. May get another 1/2 inch later this evening as another wave passes through. Nice little clipper. Enough to make the roads a mess lol

3/4" here on Nassau/Queens border. Next batch moving in now. Regular dismissal!!! Early dismissal for 1/2' is embarrassing. Soft Jersey folk.
