Heatmeister the 4 nearest N Shore towns near Centerport all are between 13.5-15" on that map. I know I live 12 miles from Centerport on a straight line.

Jim I think he said Centereach not Centerport. As per this map it does look like there is the 16.0" to 15.5" reading right around Centereach area. Unfort I have not seen any other source that shows any readings higher than 16.0" so it is possible the 16.5" is not entirely valid; however, you can argue that the 13.5 was incorrect and it was likely closer to 15-16" which makes you more correct, or less inaccurate than your buddy.

Gives e li .1-.2le. All rain. All of eastern Mass gets 6 Plus snow. Kind of what the UKIE was showing. The 12z NAM snow fall totals were over a hundred miles north of 18z. Can the phase happen sooner? I doubt it but you never know

I guess do not be surprised to see a stray snow or rain shower between today and tomorrow as a coastal storm develop well off the coast, pulling down cold from the NW. We're looking at milder temps this weekend into next week.

shoot me now
We've had a nice snow cover here since January 23rd. I guess that streak will soon be coming to an end.

Very true, compliments mostly from the 4.3 inches of sleet on the 23rd. That stuff didn't melt at all until the day before the last big snow on Feb 9th, when we were in the 50's the day before.

OK, CP, thanks. Was going to ask you about how many snowpack days we have had.Pretty good considering the above normal temps all winter.Big dent the last few days, down a few inches. On a positive note, we are only 5 inches away from a normal HV snow total year whcih I think you mentioned is 50 inches.Helluva lot better than last year!!! Think that 5 inches is a lock, we have until early April to nail that down, in spite of the upcoming torch.

Slowly getting there...into the 40's today. Upper 50's tomorrow (60 in some spots) and widespread 60's on Sunday. Models are still hinting at a pattern change to colder weather very end of this month.

Re: February 2017 Observations & Discussions
I took the forecasted high/low temperatures from last night's WABC seven day forecast (through 2/24) and TWC's 15-day forecast (from 2/25 to 2/28) and combined them with the observed high/low temperatures so far this month. Using these projections, February would finish at 39.5 degrees and become the 10th warmest February on record.....
And think about this, a couple of hours ago, the temperature at CPK went above freezing. It is not out of the question that CPK stays that way for the rest of the month.....
