I
Yeah this has trended cold and further south since yesterday. The KING NAM is now showing advisory level snows in the HV from northern Rockland north for 4-6 inches. If it keeps shifting south everyone may benefit.
This should warrant a separate thread if the trend continues tonight.

The rgem has to be 6 Plus inches for the northwest suburbs and three to six inches for the city and immediate suburbs including Western Long Island

Tonight and tomorrow morning could get very interesting. Sometimes you get in a pattern where it just wants to snow. That pattern may have started Thursday and continues tonight. Interesting times. What a change from a week ago.

Well you're already near zero, so it won't take much, and given the historical tendency for the cold air to get drawn southward east of the Delaware River with systems and setups like these, I think there is a good chance.

I had a very light dusting on the driveway and cars last night in Parsippany. It was gone by the time the sun came up this morning.Dunnzoo wrote:Did anybody get any snow last night? Dusting, an inch? Nothing here.

Re: February 2017 Observations & Discussions
So the Big Blizzard TWC and other outlets had been forecasting for Red Sox Suck yesterday appears to have bypassed Red Sox Suck for the most part.
Beantown reported 1.5 inches of snow yesterday as of midnight last night. I'll wait to see what the reports are from midnight to 7am this morning but this is what I was discussing yesterday about how people romanticize the snow totals there based on a couple of maps that often don't come anywhere near what actually happens. It looks like this is another in a long history of major busts.
