From 50% CP getting at least 1" yesterday to NOT 1 FLAKE TODAY. NOW PEOPLE ARE HARPING ON 8 days from now. What bizzaro world do I live in.

Just had a 15 minutes squall of nearly white out conditions and ground covered here. Was up in Pearl River same thing there. Wind has been ripping here with temps at 26.
The block being depicted is NOT 8 days away for the record it is 120 hours. By Wed the block is big established.

What a rollercoaster ride for sure, low of 17.8° not too bad for March 4th

March is a fight between Jan and May, and neither can win.

These strong winds persist. I really do hope my roof doesn't decide to detach and take off. lol. It seems to me like the past two March's around here have been super windy. I know March is always a windy month, but I remember last year and now this year some of these winds being stronger and more persistent than I recall in the past.

It is 18 degrees at CPK now, colder than at any point this past February...

Cold air is around to be tapped should that bizarre snow map come to fruition.

Reminiscent of times past when March was still a winter month.

So CPK got down to 14 degrees, matching the lowest temperature reading of the winter.

What I think gets overlooked is that the current dew point temperature is -14(!). And since the air temperature is 33, the relative humidity is 12%(!)

There was a little freezing rain earlier, some ice in the roof troughs.

Today, Wednesday, it is 1 pm and a beautiful sunny day. Temp is 61 out on the deck. Getting sunburned while drinking a beer.

Winds suddenly got quite gusty. Where did that come from. It was still now moaning through my windows.

Once again, it hits 60 at CPK less than 24 hours before it is set to snow...

63* and sunny. I think given the current temperatures, and the fact that even after the snow starts tonight it is still expected to be above freezing through the storm tomorrow, we are not going to see much accumulation on paved surfaces (at least heavily traveled roadways/sidewalks).

Overachieving a little today

Sun is just blazing right now. 40 degrees. Snow is melting like the Wicked Witch from OZ

3.5" today brings season total to 39.5"

All the melting snow is going to make for a slippery Friday night/Saturday morning
